About Us

Who We Are — Bert’s Trucking

Bert’s Trucking is Bert Van De Wetering, his wife Mary, and two of his sons Rick and Bob living and working out of the Sea-to-Sky corridor in British Columbia. You could say we had no choice but to go into the water business. Van De Wetering is a Dutch name which literally means “from the water area”. We’re a family business and we take great pride in caring for our business and all our customers as if they were all family.

Some of the purest and best tasting water on the planet comes from British Columbia – in particular, the Pemberton area. Bert’s Trucking has been transporting this water from pristine sources to water bottling plants for decades. Our sources come from glaciers and artisanal wells, each source providing a unique water. Helping to bring this high-value-added product of British Columbia to the world in a way that creates and preserves jobs, adds to the British Columbia economy and is not bulk exported as a natural resource is something we take great pride in.

Water Ambassadors Canada LogoOur mission goes beyond merely transporting water, though. We’re also active members of Water Ambassadors of Canada. With them, we journeyed to Honduras, where we helped build a much-needed well. We continue to support this non-profit in its mission to provide clean, safe drinking water to less fortunate people in developing countries.
